NAPSA APPOINTED AS TAX AGENT

The National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) wishes to inform all its suppliers and contractors of various goods and services that NAPSA has been appointed as a Tax Agent by the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) with effect from 1^st January, 2017.

In accordance with this appointment, NAPSA is obliged to withhold and remit directly to the ZRA the Value Added Tax (VAT) and Withholding Tax (WHT) applicable on all supplies of goods and services. As such, the supplier or contractor will only receive the net amount due after deduction of the said taxes.

We would therefore like to urge all our current and potential suppliers to take note of this development and to engage the Zambia Revenue Authority to address any tax issues that may be at hand.
